Key Agencies and What They Fund
Last reviewed: April 2026
Singapore's grant landscape is easier to navigate when you distinguish between agencies that shape programme policy, agencies that curate digital pathways, and portals that handle application workflow. As of April 2026, Enterprise Singapore remains central for many mainstream enterprise grants, while IMDA continues to play a major role in SMEs Go Digital and related digital solution pathways.
Enterprise Singapore
Enterprise Singapore is commonly associated with capability building, business transformation, productivity, innovation support, and internationalisation pathways relevant to local enterprises. Practical examples include PSG, EDG, and MRA.
IMDA
IMDA is especially relevant where digitalisation pathways, industry digital plans, pre-approved digital solutions, and advisory or planning tools shape the SME's decision process. Programme language and named tools can evolve, so the review date should remain visible.
Business Grants Portal
BGP is the operational doorway for many applications, status checks, and some post-approval workflows. Teams should think of BGP as the system of record for submission workflow, application status, requests for clarification, and scheme-specific process steps.
How to avoid choosing the wrong scheme early
Use four filters first:
- size of project
- nature of business problem
- stage of company maturity
- geographic scope of benefit
The wrong early choice usually creates one of two problems: the application is too ambitious for the scheme, or the scheme is too narrow for the business need.
Important note
Note
Keep agency roles clear in your internal draft. One of the fastest ways to weaken an application is to mix up digital advisory pathways, scheme rules, and portal workflow as if they were the same thing.
