Simple, Success-Aligned Pricing
Last reviewed: April 2026
Overview
At OPTRA Labs, our pricing is designed to be simple, transparent, and aligned with your success.
Rather than charging large upfront consulting fees, we structure pricing so that:
- you understand costs at each stage
- your downside risk is reduced
- our incentives stay tied to funding outcomes
Our process is organised into three stages:
- Eligibility Assessment
- Consultation and Strategy
- Success-Based Fees
The pricing structure is aligned to how we work across the guide lifecycle:
- pathway selection and fit: Choosing the Right Funding Path for Your Business
- application quality and evidence: Document Checklist by Funding Type
- drafting support workflow: How to Use OPTRA Labs Application Composer Effectively
- delivery and claims discipline: After Funding Approval or Programme Acceptance: Week 1
Eligibility Assessment
All users start with an Eligibility Assessment as a one-time onboarding step.
Pricing
| Item | Amount |
|---|---|
| Eligibility Assessment | S$1,500 (one-time fee) |
What you get:
- detailed analysis of business profile, project context, and funding readiness
- a curated shortlist of relevant grants and adjacent funding pathways
- prioritisation guidance based on fit, timing, evidence burden, and likely effort
- a practical roadmap for what to pursue first and what to defer
How this is used in practice:
- identifies high-probability opportunities before heavy drafting begins
- filters out low-fit applications early to avoid avoidable spend and delays
- defines document and data requirements before submission work starts
Typical output structure:
| Output | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Eligibility summary | Clarifies baseline fit and key assumptions |
| Opportunity shortlist | Focuses attention on best-fit pathways |
| Prioritisation logic | Explains why certain options rank higher |
| Action roadmap | Defines immediate next actions and owners |
Consultation & Next Steps
After the assessment, you may book a consultation with our team.
During the consultation, we will:
- walk through your eligibility findings and assumptions
- confirm which grants or funding pathways to prioritise
- map the end-to-end process (planning -> submission -> follow-up -> outcome)
- set practical expectations on timeline, effort, and responsibilities
- explain pricing mechanics for the next phase
Session outcomes you should expect:
- a recommended primary funding route and fallback route
- a clearer scope for application support
- an agreed view of required evidence and near-term milestones
- clarity on whether to proceed now or strengthen readiness first
This session is designed to give full clarity before commitment.
Success-Based Pricing
If you proceed with OPTRA Labs, pricing is primarily performance-based.
Success Fee
We charge a 10% commission on the approved grant value, only after successful approval and award.
Key points:
- no success -> no commission
- incentive alignment stays outcome-based
- payment is due only when funding is secured
Commission logic:
| Item | Calculation basis |
|---|---|
| Success fee | 10% of approved grant value |
| Trigger point | Post-approval and award confirmation |
Why this is different:
Note: Many traditional consultants charge materially higher success commissions. OPTRA Labs uses a 10% model so clients retain more of awarded funding.
Monthly Retainer
During active application support, we charge a monthly retainer.
This covers:
- end-to-end application support and submission management
- narrative refinement, evidence packaging, and quality control
- ongoing advisory during clarifications and follow-ups
- stakeholder coordination and progress tracking
- support until formal result release
Retainer scope by phase:
| Phase | Included support |
|---|---|
| Pre-submission | scope shaping, documentation readiness, submission preparation |
| Submission | channel execution, consistency checks, final packaging |
| Post-submission | clarification support, follow-ups, response refinement |
The exact retainer amount is shared during consultation based on scope complexity, pathway type, and expected execution workload.
FAQ
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| Why is there an upfront fee? | The Eligibility Assessment funds structured, tailored evaluation work so recommendations are specific to your business instead of generic. |
| Do I have to continue after the assessment? | No. There is no obligation to proceed after receiving your assessment results. |
| When is the 10% commission charged? | Only after approval and award confirmation for supported grant applications. |
| Why is your commission lower than others? | Our operating model is process-led and system-enabled, allowing quality support without inflated commission rates. |
| What does the monthly retainer depend on? | Scope complexity, number of pathways in scope, documentation depth, and expected advisory workload. |
| Do you support non-grant pathways too? | Yes. Strategy and advisory can cover broader funding pathways; grant success fees apply to grant outcomes. |
| What if the recommended path is not to apply now? | We will state that clearly and provide a readiness plan so you can pursue funding at a more suitable stage. |
