Application Preparation
Document Checklist by Funding Type
Last reviewed: April 2026
Document quality is often the hidden driver of application speed and confidence across grants and funding pathways.
Core set for most applications
Prepare and organise:
- company profile and legal entity details
- applicant access and authorisation arrangements
- recent financial information
- project summary and rationale
- quotations, partner terms, or programme scope
- budget with line-by-line explanation
- implementation plan and owner list
By funding type
| Funding type | Description |
|---|---|
| Grant-led projects | Focus on scheme fit, valid timing, quotation quality, and evidence mapping for claims. |
| Accelerator applications | Emphasise team quality, traction proof, market potential, and execution plan. |
| Pilot funding | Prioritise use-case definition, deployment plan, and milestone outcomes. |
| Debt financing | Prioritise financial records, cash-flow logic, and repayment capacity evidence. |
Important note
Note: The weakest pack is usually not short. It is misaligned where documents do not support the story.
