Resubmission Strategy
Last reviewed: April 2026
A good resubmission strategy starts with honesty. Which part was weak: problem, fit, evidence, budget, readiness, or project design? Without that diagnosis, teams usually spend time on wording instead of substance.
Where to focus first
Prioritise in this order:
- scheme fit
- timing
- problem statement
- evidence quality
- budget logic
- implementation plan
Resubmission timing
Faster is not always better. If the project needs new quotations, stronger baseline data, or a narrower scope, allow enough time to rebuild properly.
Example
If the first application overstated outcomes and under-explained implementation, the second version should reduce grand claims, tighten scope, and show concrete milestones rather than simply adding more adjectives.
Important note
Note: A strong resubmission often looks more restrained, more specific, and more operationally credible than the first attempt.
